What it does

In some parts of the district, virtually no one has the benefit of engaging in arts and cultural activities. The Leap is designed to change this over the next 10 years.

The Leap is an exciting ten-year programme designed to increase people’s engagement in the arts and cultural activities. Royds is part of the consortium delivering this programme in Bradford and Keighley, and is employing a creative team to make this work. We will be looking to recruit Change Makers – volunteers working in and with communities to develop local involvement. There will be a mix of big events for the district and smaller, local events and activities in communities and neighbourhoods. The programme will start in 2020.

Stage One will work in the Bradford Moor, City, Keighley Central, Keighley West, Manningham and Tong local authority wards.

Stage Two will work in the Bowling and Barkerend, Eccleshill, Great Horton, Little Horton, Royds and Toller local authority wards.
