Community Solutions
Since 1994, Royds has been instrumental in the regeneration of south west Bradford. Today, this work continues by providing resources and expertise to allow individuals and groups to flourish.
Royds Community Association was formed in 1994 in order to manage a £31m SRB regeneration project in the Buttershaw, Woodside and Delph Hill areas of Bradford. The area has an estimated population of around 12,000 residents and contains approximately 3,500 dwellings.
The project was hailed as a major success and – in keeping with the Royds ethic of sustainable investment - the legacy is still benefiting in the area.
- A Community Association board
- Two active community centres
- A parade of shops
- A number of local projects offering advice and debt services
- A Healthy Living Centre
Royds is keen to continue building links in the area and allow local groups and individuals access to resources, expertise and funding that might not exist in other areas. Partnering with Royds will create added opportunities that will benefit the both the organisation seeking assistance and the community.
